Domestic developers also saw revenue growth in overseas markets. Their projects generated a total revenue of US.455 billion internationally, a 10.23% increase compared to 2024. The primary overseas market for Chinese games is the United States, accounting for 32.31%, followed by Japan, South Korea, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

In overseas mobile game markets, strategy games are the most popular genre. Among the top 100 highest-grossing Chinese mobile games overseas, strategy games account for 49.97%. This is followed by shooting games (9.69%), role-playing games (9.39%), and games incorporating match-3 and other merge gameplay elements (8.18%). In the domestic Chinese market, player preferences differ. MOBA games lead with 19.5%, followed by shooting games (18.3%) and role-playing games (15.1%).
