September 28

September 28th has arrived. A month has passed since the start of the semester, and I'm gradually getting used to everything here. My junior year is slowly getting back on track.

I returned to Wenyi the day before yesterday to help Teacher Guo select the core members of the new student council. Creating this list wasn't easy; it involved rounds of screening and weighing the pros and cons from 4 pm to 11 pm before the final list was finalized. Although this list may surprise many, and some positions may not align with public expectations, I believe it's the best choice. Everyone should let go of the excessive pursuit of fame and fortune and unite to work together. Opportunities are always there; it just depends on whether you're prepared.

It's been very comfortable staying in the dorm these past two days, and the weather has cooled down. Yesterday, we received notification that our social practice team can apply for provincial-level excellence, which is a kind of recognition for this social practice experience. It hasn't been easy along the way, and I hope for a good result.

I haven't been to the school team these past few days; I don't really feel like training, and I can't feel the team atmosphere. The first division is selecting players for the division cup tomorrow. I'm happy for them, but also sorry for us. If it weren't for the H1N1 flu last year, we would have been a very strong team. The second division doesn't feel as good as the first; it feels too disorganized.

The retake issue has been resolved in the past few days. I just need to get the teacher's signature and then go to the dean to apply for a retake. However, I heard that the dean is quite difficult to find. I hope everything goes smoothly.

By the way, the student union at the Wenyi campus of the First Division is recruiting new members tomorrow. I'll go check it out when I have time. The Dongyue student union will probably recruit after National Day; their students are probably getting impatient.
