After a month of meticulous preparation, the Washington Neighborhood (indc.im) project is officially launching its public beta today! We sincerely invite you to join the first batch of experience teams.
Washington Neighborhood is a comprehensive, lightweight platform based on HelloGWU. In addition to integrating HelloGWU's classified listings for secondhand goods and rentals, it adds features such as news, local events, discounts, job postings, social networking, and lifestyle information. Its aim is to provide international students, young scholars, and Chinese Americans with a more convenient lifestyle in the Washington, D.C. area.
In addition to its responsive desktop and mobile website system, indc.im's mobile app is now complete. On the mobile app, you can use your HelloGWU account to view, post, share, and disseminate information about rentals, secondhand goods, and the car market. You can also get the latest and most interesting local news and updates. Furthermore, we've designed the "Washington Circle" for everyone to connect and network.

The app syncs with the official website, delivering daily updates on the latest news, technology, entertainment, local events, and discounts, letting you know what's happening around the world just by reading the headlines. We also look forward to seeing your comments and messages to make our neighborhood more vibrant!

Since we're dedicated to serving international students and Chinese communities in the greater Washington, D.C. area, including Maryland and Virginia, we've naturally included sections for rentals and secondhand goods – topics of great interest to everyone! Here, you can easily post and view the information you need. Additionally, within the Washington, D.C. area, you can find more local service information and also post your own services and needs.

Join the public beta test!
After completing the first version, we look forward to updating and developing new features based on everyone's actual needs, continuously improving the user experience. We sincerely invite experts from all walks of life to join this project. Whether you want to offer suggestions, contribute ideas, or want to deeply integrate into the team, we welcome you! We have specially created an early access group (scan the QR code above to join). Everyone is welcome to join. In the group, we will collect everyone's opinions and suggestions, invite everyone to participate in feature decisions, and announce our design direction as soon as possible.
