It feels so good to be healthy

It's been five days since I unexpectedly caught a cold last Friday. To be honest, these five days have been really tough. If I hadn't gone to the hospital and had four injections in the last two days, this illness might have kept me going for much longer.

This was the first time I'd been sick in many years, or at least sick enough to need to go to the hospital. The last time I was sick, according to my medical records, was in 2006 – it feels so long ago. At the hospital, it was just a matter of injections, blood tests, and IV drips; after those steps, I was basically fine. I'm quite afraid of needles and prefer to rely on my own immune system to handle the pain of viruses, plus I'm confident in my health – after all, I'm a level-two athlete! So, for the first few days of my illness, I stayed home and didn't go anywhere. However, my condition didn't improve at all, and I suffered for two days for nothing.

I'm healthy now, and every time I recover from an illness, I realize how wonderful it is to be healthy. It's a testament to how we only appreciate things after we lose them. During my illness, I thought there would be a mountain of work to do with the student union, clubs, and the startup team, but when I went online, I found that it wasn't as much as I imagined. Aside from needing to revise a plan, all the club tasks were handled by my capable colleagues, which made me feel truly fortunate.

As for my studies, I haven't fallen too far behind in my regular classes in just a few days. However, I'm already behind in my preparation for the CET-6 (College English Test Band 6), and I can't catch up now. So, I've let go of the original plan and revised it. I'm giving myself more space and a more comfortable mindset to study.
