In 2012, HelloGWU went online and quickly became the largest platform for Chinese in the Washington area. So far, it has received more than 15 million visits and accumulated 240,000 users;
In 2017, Washington Neighborhood (inDC) was launched, aiming to provide users with an activities and information platform, and provide better services to users based on vertical information;
In 2018, HelloGWU merged with the neighborhood and launched a new mobile client – ​​Foreign Country.

HelloGWU's mobile client has received mixed reviews since its launch in 2014. Due to platform development cost constraints, it has not been well updated and maintained. Taking this opportunity, we decided to develop our own client from the ground up! "Otherland" came into being. We want to better integrate rental, second-hand, activities, social networking, and information. After a period of development, "Otherland" has gradually taken shape and was officially launched on the app store last week.

We want to make "Otherland" our own product. We will collect everyone's opinions and suggestions in the community and continue to iterate. I also hope more friends can participate!
