Dear users:
I intend to open-source the HelloGWU mobile client (hereinafter referred to as the "client") so that more people can maintain, update, and upgrade it. I am now soliciting everyone's opinions and suggestions.
FoggyStudio was established in the first half of the year based on a similar idea.FoggyStudio.comLet's work together to develop fun and interesting products using the resources of the HelloGWU platform. Now we want to include the "client" in the studio's scope, allowing more people to participate in the community's maintenance and development. In the future, we plan to open-source the entire platform's product side internally, so that everyone can maintain it.
Another major reason is that the current "client" has numerous long-standing, unpatched bugs, which not only affect user experience but also the platform's stability. Some of these bugs are actually not difficult to fix, but due to limited individual resources, it's impossible to address them all. After open-sourcing the software, we will list all contributors prominently on the platform and plan to grant them certain advanced community privileges.
This is a project I love. I am saddened by its stagnation, but I also hope that it can grow together with everyone.
This is just one of my ideas, and I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts and opinions. I also hope experienced "experts" will join in. Feel free to leave a message, contact admin@hellogwu.com, or discuss it on our Slack channel.
