HelloGWU was founded on June 9, 2012, by GWU newcomers.Tao JingHelloGWU is developed, operated, and managed by a student team. Initially serving primarily students at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., it later expanded to the greater Washington area, including Northern Virginia and Maryland. Since its inception, HelloGWU has adhered to a non-profit, student-service mission, dedicated to better serving Chinese and international students. It has undergone several version updates since 2012.TimelineWith over 250,000 registered users and over 5,000 active users, the platform has achieved a balance between development and operation.
