The greatest distance in the world is not the ends of the earth, but the fact that HTC Calendar and Google Calendar are on the same page on the G10 phone, yet they cannot sync.
I flashed a Xiaomi ROM today and found the calendar was empty. After some investigation, I discovered it was because Google Calendar had no content, even though my previous phone was synced with Google Calendar. Why would it be empty?
To find out, I flashed back to an HTC ROM and was surprised to discover that my calendar was using PC SYNC instead of Google. Although Google was indeed syncing, it was empty. So how do I switch my PC SYNC calendar to Google Calendar?
After spending an afternoon researching, I found no software capable of handling this seemingly simple yet challenging task. Finally, after searching online, I came up with a method using Outlook Express for conversion:
1. Go to the HTC official website to download and install HTC SYNC. The installation process is troublesome and requires updates, so please wait patiently.
2. Connect your phone using HTC SYNC and sync your phone's calendar. Note that it will also sync with Outlook on your computer at this time; your computer must have Office installed.
3. Download Google Calendar, enter your Gmail account, and then click "Sync". Wait for the sync to complete.
Once the above steps are completed, your phone will sync with Gmail, and the sync will be successful.
