Taking advantage of some time during the Chinese New Year, I upgraded my little broken website. Time flies really fast, and it’s already 2026 in a blink of an eye. When I was a kid, I was sitting on the back of a bicycle thinking that the future was out of reach, but in the blink of an eye, I was already in it. In the past four years, even the New Year's goods, which have been updated for twelve consecutive years "year after year", have not been spared.
However, everything will recover slowly. This upgrade is different from the past. The new blog will be more inclined to content quality and depth, increase observation and thinking about the industry, and increase professional content. Although some articles in the past were embarrassing, I don’t intend to hide them anymore. Firstly, they are not very in line with personal values. Secondly, this is where I came from. A person always has a past, but what needs to be paid more attention to is the present and the future.
New domain name, UI update, column arrangement
This time it happened that JakeTao.com had expired, so I registered it and changed it to the blog domain name. The new website is different from the past. The homepage is used to display personal profiles, and the inner pages are the blog itself, but most people will not feel it.
The UI has been streamlined with plug-ins that were previously useless. I like the simplicity myself, so I have slightly strengthened it on this basis. Two modes have been added:
- Reading mode: You can click the reading button at the end of each article to enter it, so that you can read without interruption.
- Sharing and poster generation: On the other side of the symmetry of the reading mode is sharing and poster generation. Click to generate a picture with a QR code, save it and share it. The effect is as follows:

In the column, all original articles are put together, mainly divided into: time stamps, technical notes, and experience strategies. The time stamps are divided into flow, daily life and thinking.
Open for submission
This website has been established for more than 20 years, and I have been updating it myself. I also read a lot of good articles during the writing process. This time I am trying to open up submissions, and I hope more authors and good articles can join.
The first batch of manuscripts are open to four categories: life, thinking, experience sharing, technology/technology, and professional articles. We will consider more types in the future, hoping to share the weight of this site and help spread good articles.
For details, please see the instructions on the submission page:https://jaketao.com/contribute-intro
Industry trends
A big change this time is the addition of the "Industry Focus" column, which mainly integrates important information in the industry. Under the condition of ensuring copyright, I will select the news and major events happening in the industry and purify the explosive information.
Of course, there are not many industries that I can pay attention to. After careful consideration, I decided to open four industries first. These are also the four areas that I am most concerned about:
- console games
- AI technology
- Cross-border e-commerce
- Studying and living abroad
Chinese content archive (only outside the wall)
I have seen some worrying data recently - Chinese content only accounts for 1% of all Internet content. As an Internet country with one-fifth of the world's population, this is very worrying. We won't go into too much detail about the reasons here, but I want to do something within our power - archive some high-quality content through technical means under legal and compliant conditions. Although this will not be of much help to the increase, it can preserve some high-quality content that has disappeared inexplicably.
In the future, in the future era dominated by AI, content will become more and more important, and high-quality content will be more valuable. It is hoped that through some technical means, the time imprint of the Chinese world can be preserved. At least we in this era can be seen by future generations and not be mistaken for an "empty" era.
Thoughts
We have newly developed a function called "Thinking", which is similar to Moments and is used to post some unwritten thoughts. Anyone who is interested can follow:https://jaketao.com/notes
The code for the function has also been shared:https://jaketao.com/wordpress-weibo-suisuinian-with-comments
By the way, I created a new category in my subscription specifically to track my thoughts so that everyone can see updates as soon as possible. Synchronization of social networks will also be considered in the future.
External platforms reopen
This reorganization also sorted out the external platforms, and will be updated simultaneously on these platforms later. You can pay attention to the relevant platforms according to your own situation.

Public account:

In addition, Toutiao, Bilibili and Tencent News (Tencent News) will also be updated simultaneously. Just search for my name.
Subscription system
In addition to the synchronization of external platforms, the subscription system can still be used. This update subdivides the subscription items. You can choose the columns you want to subscribe to, which are divided into:
- Real-time push: original article publishing, casual thoughts publishing
- Industry monthly report: console games, AI technology, cross-border e-commerce, studying and living abroad

Under development (APP, communication platform)
Sharp-eyed friends may have discovered that the website has introduced a user system, which will not only serve submissions and comments, but also lay the foundation for a future communication platform. In the plan, a communication platform may be established for industries that are deeply cultivated to provide users with a channel for mutual assistance and communication. This area is still under planning, and details will be considered based on the advancement of the industry's deep development plan.
In addition, I am also looking at open source apps and considering writing one to make it easier for users to read and communicate, especially industry news.
The above is all the updates. If you have any thoughts and comments, please leave a message.
