I took advantage of the long weekend to platinum Romance of the Three Kingdoms 13. I didn't plan to platinum it when I first started playing, but as I played, I found that this game was quite easy to platinum, so I just did it.
I'm going to write a guide for everyone's reference. Those who want to get to the top can do so quickly, and those who don't want to get to the top can at least have a basic understanding.
The game's structure is quite simple. One is the Heroic Chronicles mode, where you experience heroic deeds, which is quite simple and quick. The other is the Unify the Nation mode; you need to complete both to get the platinum trophy.
Regarding trophies, here's a picture first. I've roughly divided trophies into three types.

Let's look at the picture first:
The bottom yellow section: Don't bother looking at it, it will skip 99% of the time when you're playing, especially in Heroic Chronicles, it's basically like a tutorial, you'll skip it almost every time. The final cleanup in this section is also very simple, so don't worry about it in the early game.
The red text at the top indicates that you can only play through one scenario at a time, and there are a few things to keep in mind while playing. I'll explain how to do it later.
Green in the middle: You need to check this before playing, as it's cumulative.
Here's a simple explanation of how to get it quickly:
- I won't go into the details of the Heroes of the Three Kingdoms, as they are all quite simple. The final Battle of Guandu is a bit more difficult, especially the final battle. Yuan Shao has over 100,000 troops supporting various cities. Use 1-2 troops to feign attacks on a few cities with fewer troops, and then concentrate your main force to directly attack Ye City. It's best to manually control the attack, otherwise it will be quite difficult.
- You need to play through each scenario one by one. Creating a powerful character or choosing a good character for each scenario will play a crucial role in your success. Don't choose a monarch, or you'll be driven crazy. For your first playthrough, I suggest choosing a free agent and then working your way up to the first rank (there's a trophy; just do your work every day). This will give you enough money to travel the country and buy all the famous items.
- After completing one campaign, you'll have most of the trophies. For the remaining campaigns, choose a non-Cao Cao faction and let it idle until it's almost finished. Then, recruit Cao Cao and do nothing but let him unify the country (though you can occasionally help him conquer cities). Here's why: First, Cao Cao has a large and powerful army; second, the storylines are all favorable to him (except for the Battle of Red Cliffs); and third, the ruler is ambitious. The first time I followed Sun Quan, I basically didn't attack others while idle, and even when I became his strategist, I disagreed with his suggestions to fight.
- The remaining 100 duels and 100 debates can mostly be completed within the scenario, as you should pay attention while playing. You can check the exact number of attempts in the main menu's collection section. If you can't complete them, do the duels by patrolling, and for the debates, choose Zhuge Liang to join the alliance; you can do this infinitely.
- When working on a major storyline, it's crucial to remain independent for a few years initially, or avoid taking actions that could disrupt the plot. This is because there's a storyline gathering element, so it's best to complete the storyline before joining someone else's faction. (Generally 2-4 years)
- After completing these, only the three most difficult trophies remain: Prefect, Governor, and Monarch. Note that these three "extremely difficult" refer to the difficulty level selected during gameplay, not the difficulty level of the missions in the game. Many strategies exist online, but due to version updates, many are ineffective for me. Here's a simplified guide (for version 2016.8).
- Choosing a monarch is the easiest option, as the proposal will almost certainly pass. In a warring faction, select Cao Cao, propose attacking Tao Qian right away, and then send troops to defeat him. It's very easy.
- In the scenario of pacifying Yizhou, choose Guan Yu as the commander. At the beginning, go to the assessment, sell your equipment to bribe Zhao Yun, and then use the save/load method to propose attacking Xiangyang. After approval, go back and gather your troops to attack. This part is a bit difficult, so manual play is recommended.
- The Prefect is the hardest one. Choosing Ma Chao amidst the chaos of warlords, or using the save/load method, and selecting military equipment in the assessment, inevitably involves a debate. Debate is disadvantageous, but there's a way to manage it; just try it yourself. After the debate, go back to complete the mission; this mission is relatively easy to complete.
OK, everything's done. Please reply if you have any questions.
