Looking forward to the School of Information Engineering derby

Today we decisively defeated our last opponent in the group stage and successfully advanced to the knockout stage. From receiving the notification to participate in the Division Cup in mid-April to advancing from the group stage, we've been through it all together.

At the end of April, we spent a week in intensive training and morning exercises, dreaming of becoming a dark horse in this tournament. I still remember our first match, a crushing 0-6 defeat to the School of Computer Science. After that match, we clearly recognized the gap between us. That day was dark; the only good news was that the School of Finance and Economics and the School of Electronic Information drew. The next day, we faced the School of Finance and Economics. It was a passionate match. Two successful counterattacks boosted our morale and shattered our opponents' hopes. That was the first time I had scored on a big field since the end of the high school league, and I even scored two goals.

The day had finally arrived. A draw would have been enough for us to advance, but our team was hampered by injuries to Fang Zheng, Yan Hangjie, and Zhou Bin, and Fu Chen was away on official business. This depleted squad made winning the match extremely difficult. Sure enough, we conceded a goal early in the first half, falling behind 0-1. However, thanks to Hu Di's "sneak attack" tactic, we quickly equalized. But with so many players missing, we were clearly outmatched, and the first half ended 1-2. Although everyone uttered discouraging words, their hearts were set on defeating our opponents. The second half was a complete turnaround. Early on, I had a counter-attack opportunity, creating a one-on-one chance and scoring. Then, I converted a penalty, and Daju added the finishing touch in the final moments, securing a decisive 4-3 victory.

Although the Computer Science team lost today, we still qualified as the second-place team in our group due to head-to-head results. Tomorrow, we will face the Information Engineering College's second team (representing the second division of the college). It's unprecedented for two teams from the Information Engineering College to reach the quarterfinals in a single university football tournament. Tomorrow's match will also make history, something everyone in the Information Engineering College can be proud of. Although we are not the strongest team, we have come this far, and there is no turning back. True warriors will resolutely choose to fight, forge ahead, and persevere without hesitation.

Looking forward to tomorrow's derby match.
