Updated 2019.3:BOA 3% Online Shopping Category List Compilation
This morning I received an email informing me that my long-dormant BOA Cash Back credit card had changed its rules—the 3% reward category can now be chosen (previously it was just gas). This practically activated the card instantly. The email is below:
Simply put, with this BOA card, you can choose one of the following for a 3% cashback: gas, online shopping, dining, travel, medicine, or furniture.He became a versatile card that complemented other cards!BOA's product manager probably studied the settings of card games (maybe they played too much Hearthstone or Gwent) and came up with this design in a flash of inspiration.
However, it is worth noting that the quarterly limit of 2500 remains unchanged, meaning it cannot be used heavily and can only serve as a supplement.
Currently, there's a 4% discount on gas at Costco, and Uber offers 3% off travel and 4% off dining. Add to that Chase, Amazon, and Double Cash. Essentially, this card is only really useful for online shopping and furniture purchases.
Excitingly, online shopping includes popular stores such as Walmart, Target, Amazon, Apple Store, Best Buy, and Nike (as shown in the picture).
Furniture stores include IKEA and Home Depot (as shown in the picture). While these aren't frequently used, you can easily end up buying a lot, so a 3% cash back is quite reasonable. After all, it's unrealistic to buy too much each quarter.
This category can be changed once a month. However, perhaps due to a miscalculation by the product manager, the referral/invite friend feature wasn't implemented beforehand, meaning even if friends see it, they can't invite others. But that doesn't stop everyone from applying! Currently, applying gets you a 150 RMB cashback, which isn't much, but it'll do.
