Compare and find the gap

This afternoon, I represented the college's student union at Zhejiang University City College to attend the "Forum of Student Unions of Independent Colleges in Hangzhou." The afternoon's reflections made me realize my own shortcomings once again.
Back in the first half of this year, the chairperson and I attended a similar meeting at Hangzhou Business School. Due to the special circumstances of our school, freshmen have the opportunity to join the student council. While this is very beneficial for developing our abilities, it also brings many problems. Especially when dealing with external parties, we are facing "senior students" with three to four years of work experience, which leads to many awkward situations in communication. Therefore, attending such meetings puts a lot of pressure on us.
This meeting can be seen as a continuation of the previous meeting. First, the student union leaders of each independent college introduced the progress of their respective student union work, and then the future development of the independent colleges was discussed.
The PowerPoint presentation from our college was produced in Xiasha, and while the workmanship was impeccable, a closer look at the content left me completely bewildered. Although it was from the same college, most of the activities featured were held in Dongyue and Xiasha, which significantly increased the difficulty of my presentation. My lack of familiarity with many of the activities prevented me from elaborating on my experiences with them; I could only offer a brief overview of the year's events.
However, I've noticed that apart from a few colleges with their signature events, most other colleges are pretty much the same. I'm still proud of our college in this regard. While we may not have any truly outstanding events, the activities we organize are all well-received and deeply engaging.
In comparison, the situations in each college are roughly the same. The difference between our college and other colleges, and between myself and other college student council members, lies in experience. Accumulating experience comes from diligent and down-to-earth work. This is something I need to learn more about.
