Kids who use Android phones to access the internet often find data usage excessive. However, if they want to use their phones while in bed but have access to a computer outside, they can simply connect to the internet on their computer and turn on Wi-Fi to share the network. Here's how:
First, you need to install a virtual Wi-Fi adapter. Most laptops come with one, but it's not activated when sold in China. It will be automatically activated after installing Windows 7, and you can see "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter" in the network connections.
If not, please activate it using the following command: Start the command prompt in administrator mode, and then type `netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=name key=password`
To start the base station function, use the following command: `netsh wlan start hostednetwork`. Then, in network management, open the properties of your local connection and select the network you want to share in the sharing options.
Note: When sharing a network connection, errors may occur for several reasons. First, check if ICS is installed on your computer. Second, check your computer's firewall and adjust it to the default settings; otherwise, you will encounter an error message indicating that it cannot start.
